What's Coming Up?
Current Sermon Series - Awakened to Grace
We’ll begin the year by rediscovering the simple, transformative practices that open us to God’s presence - Prayer, Scripture, Silence, Fasting, Sabbath and Service. We’ll learn tools to help our community grow in faith together and awaken hearts to God’s grace made visible in ordinary life and discipleship.
Discussion Group - Group resumes this week. Join us then for thoughtful discussion on contemporary topics. Together we will explore how these matters shape and challenge our Christian faith today. All are welcome. Meet in the library after Gathering time.
Foundry Study Group - Class resume this week studying “God is Closer Than You Think” by John Ortberg. You do not need a book to participate in the discussion, new participants always welcome. Please join us! Meet in Room 108 after the Gathering time.
Rebekah Circle - will meet on Wednesday, January 21 at 10:00 a.m. in Room 108.
Upcoming Events
Soup-er Bowl of Caring Coming Up
Every year, we hold a soup (and canned good) drive leading up to the big game. Leading up to the collection, you’ll be able to bring in donated items to place in a respective bin to "vote" for your pick to win the game. Whether you want to push your team over the finish line or just enjoy giving to those in need, we all win when we feed the hungry!
Post-holiday Grief Gathering - February 21, 10am
Join us for a community conversation on grief, entitled, “Blessed are you who mourn.” Hosted by Tim Arsenualt, retired Director of Spiritual Care for Suncoast Hospice, this is for anyone who has experienced grief.
Blessing of the Animals - February 1st at 3 p.m. in the Sanctuary parking lot.

We are a United Methodist Church in Clearwater, Florida. Skycrest welcomes and includes people of every age, race, ethnicity, culture, sexual orientation, gender identity, economic status, and physical and mental ability. Learn more about us here.
Children/Youth Ministries
At Skycrest, we love kids, youth, and families of all kinds. We have Nursery during our worship services and events, SkyKids for ages 4 through 5th grade, and Youth Ministry for middle school and high school students. We also have a weekday preschool for ages 2 and up! Lastly, for young adults, we offer a young adults group for fellowship!
Serving
Serving others is at the heart of who we are as a church. You’ll find us globally on mission trips, locally feeding the hungry in our community and even serving within our own church. If you have a heart of service, Skycrest is your home!
Worship
Whether you prefer modern worship songs or traditional hymns, we have a service just for you. Our Combined Worship Service includes a modern band, choir, and organ.
